How would you describe yourself to someone?
I am indeed, so I would admit, an overthinking mind,
Chatty, very chatty mind,
Roaring so loud,
Rarely silent,
Someone is always talking in here.
If I ask who they are, they just say “I am you. Your mind. The Guilt, Shame, Ideas, Dreams, Desires, Memories and Fears,
I am the words you heard, I am the words you read, I am the words you or others said, all that is me…”
Chatty little parts.
“You don’t understand, you cannot change.”
After I had sown some new seeds,
Uprooted some old sticky weeds,
I saw and still believe,
That…
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
At the very least…
Changing your mindset,
That is a CHOICE!
MY choice!
YOUR choice!
That is…
OUR choice.
So who am I or who are we? How to describe oneself if life is just about the BE?
You read from us now as “sown & uprooted“. “Sown” stands for the seeds we plant along our own path, literally in our garden or on our balcony, in the form of herbs, fruits or vegetables, but also metaphorically speaking, it represents the life into which we have been sown and the seeds we desire to plant in the form of our intentions. “Uprooted” symbolises the uprooting of unhealthy roots, our outworn beliefs and ways of being, just as much as the literal uprooting of the healing herbs, weeds or vegetables that we have grown or foraged.

Lina, that is me.
She is today’s post’s author.
Lina is “I”.
Initially, when I desired the start a blog, it all started by the name “sos spirituality”. My aim was to create a platform for people on a spiritual journey to “accidentally” find when they got lost in the manifold weirdly ancient stories of fear, grandeur and illusion that seem nowadays so widely spread among spiritual circles. My experiences had made me protective of those I witnessed going to psychiatries and my anger was relentless towards those teachers that were only hoarding their money without caring for the damages they’ve done to those following them. I hope you agree that our blog turned out to become much more than that.
It became not an angry blog with angry posts! A passion, a fascination had captured us, binding us beyond an already existing friendship, although so different, Corina and I.
Recipes is what we mostly share,
all posts crafted with love,
and a little bit of magic sprinkled on top.
And while I am sitting here in summer’s afternoon heat.
No breeze. I am waiting.
Waiting for my ingredients to finally arrive. Waiting for the beeswax that I need to pre-craft the adorable skincare that I am about to share with you in my next post. I did it ones, I do it twice, I try it thrice, before I sprinkle the magic on top and share a recipe with you.
Some of us are like kindred spirits, some of us are quite different indeed,
but in the end..
every one is simply unique.
– with love –
Lina
